About Purposely Pure

Purposely PURE grew from a desire to intentionally live a more naturally orientated lifestyle. A deep respect for nature. A longing to tap into its wealth of incredible resources. To go back to the original source of health and wellness, as it was intended by our Creator. 

The name Purposely Pure was chosen for the combined meaning of the words:

purposely: "on purpose or with specific intent; intentionally" 

and pure: "clean and free from harmful substances"

The original intent behind the brand was to create exceptional and effective cosmetic products. Products designed and formulated with clean ingredients that are specifically chosen to be free from harmful chemicals, so commonly found in conventional store-bought products. 

But it has a deeper, spiritual meaning as well. Representative of a conscious choice to live a life that strives for spiritual wholeness and connection with God. An active and deliberate pursuit for compassion, honesty, purpose and integrity. Intentional Purity. 

Values that also represent the core of our business. And the hope to eventually be able to give back to the community and our planet. 

We believe that everything we have (our intellect and knowledge, abilities and gifts, health and wealth); everything we are comes from God. That everything we do, should be for His glory:

For everything comes from Him and exists by His power and is intended for His glory. All glory to Him forever! Amen" (Romans 11:36 NLT)  

Romans 12 goes on to say that we should give our bodies to God as "living and holy sacrifice" because of all that He has done for us, as this is the true way to worship Him. Followed by the famous verse:

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - His good, pleasing and perfect will." (Romans 12:2 NIV)

For us, this instruction is twofold:

  1. Representing our own purpose in creating products that bring glory to God through optimal use of the powerful natural ingredients that He provided at our disposal. 
  2. Providing products that are not causing harm to our bodies, but instead promoting our health and wellbeing and those of our clients' - thereby striving to treat our bodies as a temple of the Holy Spirit and honouring God with our bodies (1 Cor 6: 19-20).

The butterfly is an age old symbol of transformation, hope and faith. Spiritually, it represents the renewal of our minds and the becoming of a "new creation" (2 Cor 5:17).

Meet the founder

Meet Marti-Mari

Hi! My name is Marti-Mari.

I am passionate about natural products and love formulating with all the amazing botanical ingredients that we were blessed with on this incredible planet we call home.

I have a Diploma in Natural Skincare Formulation from the School of Natural Skincare, International (UK) and have completed numerous additional courses and workshops in Solid Haircare Formulation. I am currently in the process of completing my Diploma in Natural Haircare Formulation as well.

I am obsessed with learning and researching as much as I possibly can on all that nature has to offer us in natural formulation. I use my knowledge and formulation skills to thoroughly test and develop my products to ensure the highest possible standard and quality.

My hope is to highlight the benefits and incomparable value of using quality products, made with superior natural ingredients - as opposed to the often harmful conventional products, consumers so often purchase without a second thought. My mission is to make exceptional quality natural products available to you.
